Where You Are Now

You feel drawn to using your voice.

But when you actually try, your body tightens. You hold your breath. You start judging yourself.

You want your voice to feel natural and steady, not like something you have to force.

Learn how to trust your voice as a grounding, regulating, and healing tool, starting from safety in your body.

Why It Hasn't Stuck

You've probably tried practicing more. Or pushing yourself to "just do it."

Maybe it worked for a moment, but it never really stayed.

That's because your body didn't feel safe yet. And without safety, the voice can't change long-term.

A Different Way In

Your voice doesn't change through willpower.

It changes through small, repeated experiences the body can stay with.

When something feels familiar, the nervous system starts to trust it.

Embodied Voice starts with safety first, and lets expression grow from there.

What Changed

Four weeks, in their own words.

If you don't think you can sing

She sang two songs in front of an audience for the first time in her life.

Before Shaky and small, especially when I wanted to stand up for myself.
Now Clear and audible, and one of those songs was high pitch.
"I held a lot of judgement and limiting beliefs about my voice. That it doesn't sound good, that I can't sing high notes, that it's small and shaky. My relationship with it shifted from critical to compassionate."
Mehla

If you don't love your voice

She now hums with the kids at work as a regulating tool, and they ask her for more.

Before Scared, uneasy, tight in my chest.
Now Comfortable with it, and using it on purpose.
"I didn't love my voice, but I learned to be comfortable with it. I can use it as a regulating tool for myself and for the kids at work. It also made me much more aware of my breath, and the effect my breathing has on my body."
Wendy

If starting the sound feels impossible

He can break the silence now, in daily life, not just in class.

Before Pretty weak, not steady, monotone.
Now Confident enough to make the first sound in a room.
"I was scared to break the silence, and through the humming I gained so much more confidence. The homework made me uncomfortable at times, in a good way, and I felt something change."
Auke

If you're already comfortable with your voice

She came in confident, and it still changed how her voice lands in a room.

Before I already felt very comfortable using my voice.
Now Softer and more present, like an anchor to hold on to. And I hum every day.
"Even though I had always felt confident using my voice, I learned so much. I feel lighter and stronger at the same time when I sing. These four weeks created such a deep impact for me."

Who Teaches This

I'm Joy Rae. Singer, facilitator and educator at the Sound Healing School.

I teach voice through the nervous system, not performance or pressure.

This work is based on what actually changed my own relationship with my voice, and what I see work consistently with students.

What This Is

Embodied Voice is a 4-week online training where you learn to use your voice as a grounding, regulating tool, starting from safety in the body.

What you get

  • Learning to notice how your body responds to sound
  • Creating safety so your voice can stay present
  • Working with simple, body-led voice practices
  • Building consistency without forcing or performing
Students practising body-led voice work together

The practices you'll work with

  • Humming. The one students keep after the module ends, because it grounds them in seconds and works anywhere.
  • Bottom breath. Where your voice actually starts. You learn to find it, feel it, and adjust it with kindness.
  • Lip trill. How to fade your voice softly in and out, instead of pushing it out or holding it back.
  • Release work. Jaw, shaking, sound. Finding where you hold tension, and letting it move.
  • Mantra work. A sentence that changes with you, upgraded step by step over the four weeks.

Included · Two Guest Workshops

The Intelligent Voice: Anatomy and Vocal Health Through a Somatic Lens

Most vocal training stops at the vocal system. Dominique starts with the whole body.

In two workshops you'll learn the anatomy behind healthy voice production, how tension and protective movement patterns quietly limit vocal freedom, and why the body usually holds the key to an easier, more expressive voice. Not just theory, you'll do simple body-based exercises that connect it straight to your own voice and your own practice.

Dominique Christine is the founder of The Somatic Scientist, a biomedical scientist and performer who has worked with hundreds of singers, including Broadway performers and Grammy-winning artists. Her whole body of work runs on one question: what actually allows a human being to express themselves freely?

Wednesdays 16:30 to 18:00 CET, September 16 and 30. Both workshops are included, no extra cost.

Recognition

This module is for you if

  • You feel drawn to your voice but hesitate using it
  • You've tried voice work before and it didn't stick
  • You want slow, grounded, body-led practice
  • You already facilitate, and your voice is the one instrument you still avoid

The Method

This training is taught through the Embodied Sounds Method®, which integrates sound, somatics, nervous system awareness, and embodied practice.

The focus is not on performance or expression, but on safety, consistency, and lived experience.

This is not just voice work. It's nervous system regulation, belief rewiring, and vocal care integrated into one embodied process.

Where This Sits

Everything in the mentorship rests on this month.

Embodied Voice is the first of four modules, and it comes first on purpose.

Before you learn to read a nervous system in Somatic Sound, or design a journey in Sound Session Design, you need one instrument you can rely on without thinking. Your voice is the one you always have with you, and it's the one your participants feel first.

Four weeks here, and the rest of the six months has something to stand on.

You don't need to be ready or confident.

You just need to be willing to meet your voice from the inside.

P.S. Your voice doesn't need to be fixed. It needs to be met, trusted and cared for.

The Full Pathway

Embodied Voice is Module 1 of the Embodied Sounds Advanced Mentorship.

Four modules over six months: Embodied Voice, Somatic Sound, Musical Intelligence, and Sound Session Design, with coaching and mentoring in between.
